Ground & Environmental Sustainability Department
Isotop’s Ground & Environmental Sustainability Department is the largest department of its kind in Israel, and employs over 30 skilled experts in the field of geology, geotechnics, geophysics, geochemistry and civil engineering. The team includes 6 experts with a Ph.D. education and 20 personnel with a master’s degree and unique international experience.
Main areas of expertise:
- Quality assurance for paving and land development in Israel and overseas
- Applied geology and hydro-geology surveys
- Geotechnical surveys as an inseparable part of engineering plans for structures, roads, bridges, ports, trains and more
- Environmental quality assurance for land pollution, water sampling, air and more
- Surveys for waste disposal sites
- A wide range of operations pertaining to anchor components: land anchors, nails and stone bolts, screw anchors and more
- A wide variety of deep-foundation loading attempt types
- Temporary and permanent geotechnical monitoring, which monitors possible movements in engineered structures during building and maintenance stages (to identify potential instabilities and collapse risks)
Ground & Environmental Sustainability Department Testing
Isotop’s Ground Department utilizes unique and advanced equipment, some of which are exclusively used by the company in Israel:
- CPT Device – for ground density and penetrability
- IRI Device – for road undulation
- FWD Device – for dynamic load sinking testing
- GCTS Device – for earthquake simulation
- A ground penetrating radar that works in 25 MHz to 2 GHz frequencies
- ERT Device – electric tomography
- GEOMETRIX seismic system
- Advanced geotechnical tests such as spatial shearing, direct shearing, consolidation, percolation and more
- An environmental sustainability sampling & testing system (via GEOPROBE device)
